Cooking with Intention
The first recipe for Cooking with Intention is Dragonfly Chili. I have been making chili for years and have been modifying it to offer the most beneficial nutrients. It's starting to get chilly here, and it seems everyone is getting sick. I love a good chicken noodle soup, but I feel chili is a bit heartier.
Ingredients List:
1 lb. Grass-Fed Ground Beef
Organic Garlic (Minced, as much as you love. I did 4 cloves)
1 each Organic Red and Green Bell Peppers (Chopped to the size you like)
1 Large Organic Sweet Potato (Rinsed, peeled, chopped to bite sized)
1 15oz can each of Organic Cannellini Beans, Black Beans, and Red Kidney Beans (Rinsed and drained)
1 15oz can of Tomato Sauce (Just tomatoes, no additives, organic)
1 28oc can Diced Tomato W/ Jalapeño
Chili Powder
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Turmeric
Cumin
Cooking Directions:
Brown the beef until most of the pink is gone.
Add minced garlic, bell peppers and spices. Let cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
Add sweet potato, and all 3 cans of beans, mix together.
Add tomato sauce and diced tomato, stir.
Once it starts to bubble, lower the heat and simmer until sweet potatoes are tender. (Can also be done in a crock-pot)
